Affiliate and Adjunct Faculty
Affiliate Faculty of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences are employed faculty of the University of Wisconsin with primary research and/or teaching appointment in another academic department. Affiliate Staff of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences are non-faculty University of Wisconsin-Madison academic staff or other individuals deemed qualified by the department. Adjunct Faculty of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences are scientific professionals who do NOT hold appointments at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. These 0% appointments are conferred by the department executive committee and renewable every three years. Affiliates and adjuncts are typically involved in the life of the department through student advising and committee membership, instructional activities, research collaborations, and/or outreach.
